Program topic: A Recipe for Dinner Church
Rev. Amy Oblinger will lead us in an exploration of the what, why, and how of Dinner Church, as well as the various ways it might fit into both traditional and outside-the-box worshiping communities.
Rev. Amy Oblinger is a native of Southwestern Virginia, raised on camping trips, Wonder Bread, and Baptist hymns. She attended college at King University of Bristol, TN, where she studied performing arts, then received her Master’s in Musicology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Amy spent time living and working with the Iona Community before settling back into Southwest Virginia to begin a 15-year stint as a career musician, wandering her way through church choirs, praise bands, and musical theater gigs. She holds a Master's of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary and is ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Amy is currently serving as Associate Minister at Bon Air Christian Church, and in her spare time, she enjoys singing with Mosaic, the women's a cappella quartet she founded here in Richmond.
Lunch Menu: chili, cornbread, salad, and, of course- desserts!
