Come volunteer at Shalom Farms on Saturday, September 12th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at 1311 Westwood Avenue.
Volunteers will be asked to participate in a variety of physical activities that are essential to keeping the farm running as it should. You can expect to get your clothes, shoes, and hands dirty and wet. Note: flip-flops are not permitted on the farm.
Shalom Farms will provide work gloves, sunscreen, and bug spray. Port-a-Johns and handwashing stations are available. The farm will also provide fresh drinking water and ask that you help them reduce plastic waste by remembering your reusable water bottle.
While the farm welcomes all groups and individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, most farm tasks are not appropriate for children under 6 years old. Young children can still observe and explore, but may not be able to fully participate in volunteer work. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult group leader.
If you'd like to volunteer, contact us here. Be sure to fill out the Volunteer Waiver before September 12th by going to: http://www.shalomfarms.org/waiver.
