RISC Update 9-24-26

Our congregation is in the midst of a listening process during our interim season.

This is the time of the year for the Justice Ministry listening process too – each of the thirty congregations that are covenant members of RISC hold small group “House Meetings” to listen deeply to what concerns us or our loved ones.

The stories we share at RISC House Meetings are sacred conversations and start each program year. This year, like last year, we will adopt another community problem to research and identify a solution that we will take to our public officials to work towards solving serious community problems.

TCPC’s House Meetings are:

Betty will host on Monday, October 5 th from 6:30 – 8:00 at her home
Charles will host on Saturday, October 10 th from 3:00 – 4:30 at TCPC

RISC celebrated major wins at the March 2026 Nehemiah Action Assembly for Affordable Housing and Gun Violence issues and made progress on Mental Health. These wins were a result of our persistence and growing our power over the years with more than 2,000 people at the last two Nehemiah Action Assemblies.
