The Blessing of the Backpacks is a back-to-school tradition in which our congregation prays over students, teachers, and their schoolbags/backpacks/laptops. It serves to remind children and teachers that God is always with them—symbolizing that every time they put on their bag, they are wrapped in God's love. Each child will receive a backpack cross keychain as a reminder that God is always with them. 

We will also be commissioning our teachers, a special time to recognize amazing individuals who give their time sharing the Word with our youngest attendees.
